Concession pact on Hassan airport signed

The Karnataka government on Thursday signed Concession Agreement with Jupiter Aviation and Logistics Private Ltd for the proposed
Rs 600 crore world-class civilian Airport and pilots training Institute at Hassan.

 

The agreement was signed between Mr Sudhir Krishna, Principal Secretary Public Works Department (PWD) and Mr Ravinarayanan, CEO, Jupiter Aviation and Logistics Limited, consultants for the proposed Hassan Greenfield Airport.

Speaking on the occasion Mr Ravinarayanan said the proposed airport, planned to be built at Hassan, was expected to become operational from April 2009.

"The trial run of landing of aircraft would take place by the end of December 2008" he said.
